MLA Mike Morris Invites
NCLGA Members to 2016 BCNRF
It is with great pleasure that I invite the members of the North Central Local Government Association (NCLGA) members to the 2016 BC Natural Resource Forum in Prince George, January 19-21, 2016.
British Columbia is poised for historic growth and responsible resource development will lead the way. The result will be new investment and job creation never before seen in BC and more particularly in the North affecting many of our northern communities. You won’t want to miss the excitement of what 2016 will hold for BC so register now to ensure you have tickets to all the key events during the Forum.
The BCNRF will once again start with the ‘Celebrating Natural Resources Dinner’ featuring keynote speaker, well-known Canadian conservationist, Shane Mahoney the evening of Tuesday, January 19th, 2016. Mr. Mahoney is an international expert in natural resource management and will share his thoughts and research on the important topic of ‘Cumulative Impacts’, a question many British Columbians have been asking in recent years.
Wednesday morning, January 20th, 2016 we will start the day with the Ministers’ Breakfast where our audience gets to ask questions directly to several of BC’s key resource Ministers. This will be followed by a morning of panels and speakers “Invested in Resources - Finances” and “Energy Transformation”. The afternoon session will begin with a Keynote Speaker followed by afternoon panels titled “Building our Future – Resource Technology” and “Rock Solid – Mining & Mineral Exploration” followed by a networking opportunity at the Official BCNRF Opening Reception in the Trade Show area.
Thursday morning, January 21st, 2016 will feature speakers and panelists on “Wood Works – Forestry” and “Resource Diversification – Agriculture, Trapping, Tourism ” with another Keynote Speaker featured at our Thursday luncheon. We’ll wrap up the 2016 edition of the BCNR Forum with a power-packed panel on “Working together with the Land – First Nations and Resource Management”.
Registrations are open now and tickets for the luncheons always sell out quickly so don’t delay. For more information about the 2016 BC Natural Resource Forum, visit our website at: www.bcnaturalresourcesforum.com
