Additional Information

UBCM Comments:

The UBCM membership has not previously considered a resolution calling on the Province to provide additional funding for maintenance and upgrading of recreation sites.

However, members have endorsed resolutions requesting amendments to the legislation relating to development cost charges and cash-in-lieu of park lands, with the object of expanding the activities these funds may be used for, such as upgrading recreational facilities (2007-B38, 2003-B19).
